Matthew Berke - Founder & President Matthew Berke is President of LPB Energy Management, a company he founded in 1999. Originally started as a procurement company in the early days of Texas energy deregulation, Berke has transformed LPB to a full service energy management company with 1,000+ clients across North America. As a recognized industry expert and advocate, he is a frequent speaker at events and forums. Previously, Mr. Berke served as VP, Office of the Chairman, at Excel Communications where he advised CEO Kenny Troutt on strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions and financial issues. He also served as EVP of IDT Corporation, growing its Telecom business revenue from $35M to over $130M in two years after a successful stint on Wall Street. |
Corbin Baumel - Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Corbin Baumel joined LPB Energy Management in September, 2007. As CFO he oversees all corporate administration, including finance, accounting, legal, human resources and facilities. Previously, Mr. Baumel was Director of Treasury Services for Intervoice, Inc., a publicly traded software company managing mergers and acquisitions, treasury & risk management, investor relations and strategic special projects. His vast experience also includes finance, accounting and treasury leadership roles spanning start-up to large-cap companies. |
John Fardella - Executive Vice President, Business Development John Fardella joined LPB Energy Management in April, 2007. Mr. Fardella is responsible for new business development and ongoing client service and support. He was instrumental in LPB’s national expansion and exposure, including opening regional offices in the Northeast United States. |
Michael Robbins - Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Michael Robbins is responsible for the management and strategic development of LPB's software platform, internal systems and technology. Michael initially joined the company in January of 2006, and assumed a leadership role in the development of LPB’s contracts with large governmental and corporate clients. |
| Cullen Hay - Vice President, Strategic Management and Market Analysis Cullen Hay joined LPB Energy Management in April, 2006 and is responsible for all market and commodity analysis. He oversees LPB’s highly experienced commodities team that creates real-time market opinions and translates them into product and term recommendations for clients. Mr. Hay’s group also provides strategy and execution of energy purchases for LPB’s variable rate clients. Additionally, Mr. Hay oversees LPB’s advanced procurement options, including online procurement services and renewable energy programs. An industry veteran with extensive experience, he served as Portfolio Manager for Suez Energy Resources and an electricity and gas trader for Reliant Resources, Inc. He is a graduate of Southwestern University and is located in LPB’s office in Houston, Texas. |
| Bob Hart - Vice President, Software Development Bob Hart joined LPB Energy Management in 2006 when the company acquired Save More Resources, Inc. and its innovative Utility Manager™ software solution. Mr. Hart has over 25 years of experience creating and supporting software applications for the utility and energy industry. During his 12-year tenure at the Washington State Energy Office, he was responsible for the design and development of a variety of applications funded by the United States Department of Energy to improve energy conservation. |
John Seaton - Vice President, Operations John Seaton joined LPB Energy Management in March, 2008 and has operational responsibility for all Service Bureau operations and order management. His team is tasked with the accurate input and verification of utility bills from numerous suppliers across North America. He brings over a decade of operational finance experience to LPB and a proven track record for reducing operational costs while increasing client service levels. Mr. Seaton attended the University of Maryland and is located at company headquarters in Dallas, TX.
