LPB Energy Management Expands Operations with New Washington, D.C. Office

DALLAS, TEXAS, November 24, 2009—LPB Energy Management (LPB) announced today the opening of a Washington, D.C. office to expand business development opportunities with the federal government.  The Washington office is located at 900 19th Street, NW in the Presidential Plaza Building.  From this office LPB personnel will also engage federal, state and local officials on energy policy initiatives that impact LPB’s public sector clients.

Leading the Washington office as Director of Government Affairs is Brent Merchant.  Mr. Merchant will offer policy guidance, strategic direction and operational leadership for LPB’s initiatives with the federal government.  Mr. Merchant brings extensive federal government experience, having previously served in multiple positions at the Department of Energy, including as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Energy.
